Getting there

Đà Lạt is served by Liên Khương Airport (DLI), about thirty kilometres south of the town, with domestic flights from Hồ Chí Minh City, Hà Nội and other cities. There is a scenic road approach as the route climbs into the highlands.

The short transfer from the airport up to the town is part of the arrival — the temperature drops and the landscape turns to pine as you climb. Build a little time into the schedule for it rather than treating it as a quick hop.

When to go

Đà Lạt is comfortable year-round thanks to the altitude, which is its biggest scheduling advantage — there is no hot season to plan around. The driest months run roughly from December to March, and mornings can be genuinely cool, so tell your group to pack a layer.

The rainy months from around May to October bring afternoon showers rather than coastal storms, so an indoor-weighted agenda holds up well. Spring brings the flower farms into bloom, which the town is known for.
